Hello, my name is Haley Arner and I am currently a first year student at High Point University. I am majoring in exercise science and on the pre-physicians assistant track. All of my life, for as long as I can remember, every time someone asked what I wanted to do when I was older I always said I wanted to work in the healthcare field. As a senior in high school, I challenged myself and joined the Honors Emerging Health Program. It turned out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made because I have seen and learned so much that most kids my age do not get a chance to. By doing the program it has helped me learn to open up a lot more and go way out of my comfort zone and to reach out to people if and when I need their help. After I reach my career goal in becoming a physician's assistant, I plan on giving back to the community by helping out the infants in the neonatal intensive care unit to the best of my ability.
